If a drum bounces during Fork Truck transportation, the drum may momentarily become weightless, which can cause the Grip to snap open dropping the drum. Totally enclosed fork pockets with attached safety chain and cam lock secures the attachment to the fork truck. So it is popularly used with open and closed head 30 and 55-gallon plastic, steel and fiber drums with a top lip strong enough to support the weight of the drum.
